Prints and Books
A Note from the Author
“I've accumulated thousands of Lightning photographs over the years. Some have appeared in my previous books, but an awful lot have simply sat in the archive, rarely, if ever, seeing the light of day.
The Logbooks and Archive Prints are my chance to change that.
The idea is pretty simple. Each Logbook will delve into another part of the Lightning story, using photographs from my own collection alongside the memories, details and occasional digressions that inevitably come with them.
We've also picked out a small selection of my photographs to make available as A4 Archive Prints. These are images I've collected and taken over the years that I think deserve to be seen rather than sitting in a box or on a hard drive somewhere.
There's another reason for doing all this too.
Every penny we make from the Logbooks and prints goes back into Project P1B and the restoration of XA847, the original Lightning prototype. After more than 30 years sitting in a barn, bringing her back to display standard has been quite an undertaking.
To put it into perspective, it takes the sale of nearly ten Logbooks to pay for a single day's polishing. And believe me, there's been a lot of polishing.
Whether you buy a Logbook, a print, or both, thank you. I hope you enjoy them, and know that you're also helping us bring a very important piece of Lightning history back into the public eye.”
